Longtime local affordable housing developers Habitat for Humanity of Greenville County and Homes of Hope led the creation of an affordable, mixed-use housing development in the Sterling community, which has been designated a special-emphasis neighborhood by the City of Greenville. Joshua’s Way is located between Dunbar and Jenkins Streets.
The project includes seven two-bedroom rental units for very low-income senior citizens, built by Homes of Hope, and six new, single-family homes built by Habitat for Humanity. New homeowners, who receive extensive pre-purchase homeownership and financial literacy training from Habitat, will be Greenville County residents with household incomes between 30%-80% of AMI.
