The Greenville Housing Fund is supporting Voucher Action Sprint, a new, limited opportunity for those experiencing homelessness to attain affordable and safe housing with a Housing Choice Voucher.
This is a collaboration between us, Greenville Together and The Greenville Housing Authority. The goal is to provide approximately 50 vouchers to people currently experiencing homelessness in Greenville, helping them move from the streets into stable housing.
Here’s what to know:
- Eligible participants must meet the definition of homeless per The Greenville Housing Authority’s definition.
- Participants must also have a letter from an approved agency attesting to their status.
- Participants cannot have been evicted from federally assisted housing in the past three years.
- Cannot have participated in production of methamphetamine on federal property, or be a convicted lifetime sexual offender.
What is the process?
Participants will be referred through an approved agency, work with TGHA to secure a voucher, and have the opportunity to select the housing which best fits their needs.
