Deborah Randolph McKetty is a native of Greenville and recently retired as President of the South Carolina Community Loan Fund (SCCLF), a statewide Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) dedicated to advancing equitable access to capital. SCCLF supports affordable housing, healthy food enterprises, community facilities, and small businesses through lending, technical assistance, advocacy, and knowledge sharing. Under Deborah’s leadership, SCCLF partnered with Charleston County to establish a local housing trust fund, mobilizing more than $30 million to support affordable and workforce housing. Additionally, SCCLF secured over $125M in New Market Tax Credits to support community projects throughout South Carolina.

Prior to SCCLF, Deborah served as Vice President and Chief Impact Officer at United Way of Greenville County, where she led the “Reimagine Community Impact” initiative, resulting in a strategic focus on economic mobility and nearly $4 million in grants to 67 organizations. She also led United Way’s COVID-19 relief efforts in 2020, providing food, rent, and utility assistance to thousands of families. In addition, she helped establish the Greenville Racial and Economic Mobility Commission to address inequities across education, health, criminal justice, income and wealth, and racial equity training.

From 2005 to 2019, Deborah was Founder and CEO of CommunityWorks Carolina, a statewide CDFI serving low- and moderate-income residents. During her tenure, the organization grew to approximately $20 million in assets, expanded affordable housing lending, and became an SBA Microloan and Community Advantage lender. She also helped charter CommunityWorks Federal Credit Union, later merging with Self-Help Credit Union.

With more than 35 years of experience, Deborah has held leadership roles with numerous civic and financial institutions, including the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond’s Community Investment Committee and the Self-Help Credit Union Board. Her honors include the Greenville Chamber’s ATHENA Women’s Leadership Award and induction into Greenville Business Magazine’s “50 Most Influential Hall of Fame.”

Deborah resides in Greenville with her husband, has two adult children, and is an active member of Long Branch Baptist Church.
