In In the News

We wanted to share some updates on some of the investment projects the Greenville Housing Fund is involved with right now. This is also a reminder of what we do. We are not the place to call for emergency housing or to get assistance with payments for rent. Our goal is to help build up more affordable housing in Greenville by investing in key projects.

Here are some:

Gateway at The Green

This three-building community is being constructed in one of Greenville’s most vibrant areas, and another project that the GHF has supported with some great investors and partners. This will be an excellent addition to Greenville’s affordable housing supply.

The Riley at Overbrook

Work is coming along on the Riley at Overbrook, which broke ground last November. Once completed, The Riley will include 88 apartments aimed at renters earning less than 60% of the area’s median income. In addition, 19 of them will be for households earning less than 30%.

Century Plaza

The GHF completed this more than $5 million renovation of the 212-unit community in Overbrook earlier this year. The key takeaway is our investment helped modernize an aging apartment community, but allow it to remain affordable for Greenville’s workforce.

Harmony Ridge

We’ve invested more than $3 million into this 40-unit senior citizen community in Travelers Rest since acquiring it in October 2022.  This project was made possible through close partnerships with the Greenville County Redevelopment Authority and the City of Travelers Rest.

The Vinings at Brushy Creek

Announced in 2022, the Vinings at Brushy Creek used our Housing Impact Fund to help make it happen. The Housing Impact Fund provides flexible capital for projects that provide opportunity for workforce housing
