Mariah strengthens and implements essential operational, financial, and human resources systems and processes, manages special projects, and supports the organization’s overall efficiency, effectiveness, and culture.

She came to GHF in November of 2021 after working on a multi-statewide, multimillion-dollar research study aimed at reducing recidivism through strengthening the well-being and empowerment of formerly incarcerated individuals. Prior to that, Mariah managed a medical office with a focus on seamless operations and forging constructive relationships with the community. She also worked with Housing and Neighborhood Services in Rock Hill, South Carolina, on affordable housing endeavors including collaboration on grant applications, the design and implementation of grant-funded programs, and development of organizational and neighborhood relationships.

She holds her B.S. in Anthropology from College of Charleston’s Honors College and her Master of Social Work from Winthrop University. In her spare time, she can be found reading, picking up a new artsy hobby, or planning her next trip abroad.
